The new UWS campus provides a truly 21st century learning environment, with innovative teaching and learning facilities as well as specialist labs.  The student experience is central to the development with social spaces, leading sports facilities and a students’ union.  The three campus buildings on the estate are joined by an atrium ‘street’ which provides work and social spaces for students, staff and the local community.  The carbon neutral buildings make UWS Lanarkshire one of the UK’s greenest university campuses, incorporating sustainability features such as 100% renewable power from the nearby High Blantyre Wind Farm and roof mounted Photovoltaic Panels as part of our highly sustainable low energy design strategy.
